I went to a speech with my friends on Thursday, which was talked about how to enter in the international trade institution. To work in the trade corporation, I have tried hard to study hard and pass the GEPT and TOEFL test as soon as I can. I also study the marketing courses in order to learn some skill about marketing the product to the international market. When I heard the school sister talked about the life since she entered ITI, I was stunned and started to know I must make a big determination if I want to be a businesswoman in the future. I know that it is competitive in the outside world, and I need to cherish my school life in the last two year. And I also have to talk about the Chinese courses. I know that many people want to study those courses, but they must stay in the university for another year. Therefore, I deeply deliberate that should I have to minor the Chinese courses, too? I am not quiet sure that whether my choice to study the marketing courses is correct or not. Sometimes I will feel frighten when I think of I can not find a job immediately after I graduate from school. And I will feel afraid that I can not keep the promise that let my mom retired. I understand that if I want to become extraordinary woman, I must study much harder than other people. However, my destiny can not let me absolutely successful though I work as hard as I can. I have seen many CEOs in Taiwan talked about their experiences to become rich, I learned that I have to be patient and wait for any possible chance coming. I hope maybe I can become one of CEOs twenty years later and let my mom live in a much pleasurable life as possible as I can.

When my friends and I went to the speech which talked about the transfer students this afternoon, we have interest to listen the professor talked about the precise experiences in Australia, Europe and America. And she also showed a lot of pictures which she took in the foreign countries. When I saw those beautiful views that I have never saw in Taiwan, I was expected to be a transfer student in my senior year. However, I was worry that I could not pass the TOEFL test which was required by the foreign school. I still considered that my English skill was not good enough to let me pass the difficult exam easily. Moreover, I have to pay a lot of money to take the exam, so I still have no courage to take it. Nevertheless, I started to make my self-examination that it was time to face the reality. Although I know that it is extremely difficult to be a transfer student by defeating a lot of schoolmates, I wanted to give me a chance to challenge. In order to be a well prepare transfer student, basically I needed to let myself pay attention to the study. Furthermore, I have been to the United States several times, I understood that I would easily think of the delicacy and night market in Taiwan. And I would be scared when I went to a strange place at the beginning. I would become shy and even cried easily when I had a little frustration. But mom said that it would be a good opportunity to broaden my horizons by being a transfer student. To sum up, no matter I can be a transfer student finally or not, I will still try my best to improve my English ability.

The Difference Between Lecture And Discussion System
In his article,” Is Anybody Listening,” David Daniels explains that the educational lecture system is inefficient though it is profitable. Although students try to write down some notes, they can not pay attention to professor’s featureless and slow speech. Moreover, many students will not go to the class if the professor seldom takes attendance. Without doubt, students can not absorb any knowledge by memorizing few notes on final exam and then they easily fail the course. Both teachers and students do not do their job well no matter on teaching or studying. Therefore, the best way to solve the problem is divide students into several small groups to cultivate them thinking independently. By sharing their own ideas and releasing experiments, students can think much deeper and learn much more. However, smaller classes do not commonly used in the colleges though it is extremely beneficial to students. Therefore, I started to know that discussion system broaden my horizons since I entered the university.
Take me for example. When I first entered the college Michael told us that we had to prepare one interesting topic, showing and telling it to your group members. At the beginning, I felt nervous and unwilling to talk to them or even share my innermost idea with them, but Michael forced me to do it and then he would ask some questions to let me think the cause, effect and feedback toward one issue. Although I was trembling to share my topic to everyone, I found that I could learn a lot from others’ opinions in a small group. Moreover, by interacting with students, Michael could easily understand our problems and gave us an appropriate analysis. As a consequence, both teacher and student can be benefited from the small class.
In contrast, many schools in Taiwan use lecture system. Take my previous school life for instance, I always felt sleepy and just wrote down the notes on the blackboard without pondering when the teacher used a lazy tone in the class. Therefore, I needed to use extra time to absorb what I wrote in the text book and I got half the result with twice the effort. Furthermore, I was afraid of asking questions when teacher was giving a speech, for fearing that I would interrupt other people. My classmates and I would impossibly talk about our thoughts in the class but scribbled the answer which teacher gave on the book. Honestly, I had never thought that I must deliberate upon the positive and negative sides toward each question in the lecture system.
A few years ago, I had heard a report talked about the difference between foreign students and Chinese students on educational attitudes. Foreign countries are concentrate on letting their children ask questions when they are still young. They must know the origin of the formula when they write the equation and think over the Newton’s three laws. On the contrary, Chinese teachers just emphasize that their students must write down the correct answer instantly. Consequently, foreign students always get several medals in the Olympic due to the fact that they can ponder the issue again and again. And this is the problem that Chinese must take them as a model toward the educational system.
Although many experts claim that school using smaller group to let each pupil can release their comments; however, the teachers have to pay much more efforts to teach their students. Hence, the lecture system still exist not only because it origins from hundreds years ago but also economically necessary. If the government didn’t change the educational policy, the ineffective system would keep influencing students.

One of my professors will hold a speech which talks about how to plan your life after you graduate from school in next week, and my classmate invites me to go with her. Although I agree with her without hesitation, I think about I still have not decided what I should do yet. My college life will be end after two years, and time always passes instantly. Thinking of this urgent problem, I start to feel nervous. In the period, it is really hard to get an appropriate job. And even you find a job, the boss will not pay you a lot of salary. I usually see that many graduates are jobless on the TV, they need to be a garbage man in order to make a living. Looking myself, I am not talented and intelligent. Will I be a jobless woman two years later? I am not quite sure. However, I really believe that human’s destiny will be very different. Take my student’s mother for example, she comes from China, and I know her educational background isn’t very well. I always see her plays the computer or sleep when I go there, she does not need to worry about anything. She just needs to take care of her child. Her husband will send her plenty of money to let her buy LV, Chanel or other famous brands. Hence, I will be jealous her occasionally when I see she can talk with her friend on the phone overnight. But when I think in the other side, she has to take care of a little child though she is still young. She has to give up the time that she can stay alone or goes out with her friends. Thinking of this, I am ease eventually.

This Sunday is my father’s birthday, and I quickly decide to go home and celebrate with him. I am surprising that my dad is already fifty five years old, but I did not give him any present or birthday card due to I was busy on studying. I am so regret about that and I determine to make up my father and feast my dad a big meal this year. Although my dad says it is unnecessary to come back to Kaoshiung just to celebrate his birthday, I know he is excited in his heart. However, I need to pay a thousand dollar on the meal, and that is almost fees I can earn the whole week. I find myself that I can hardly save money though I work very hard. When I go shopping with my roommates on holidays, I find that I cost a lot of money on clothing, accessory and bags just for temporarily impulse. Hence, my peggy bank does not have a lot of money though I once made a wish that I should let my peggy bank full of money. I must quit this bad habit for fear that I do not have any money after I graduate from school. By the way, I have to mention that I minor in marketing this semester. And this week I go to the class alone, I found my junior high school’s classmate was there. Nevertheless, she did not recognize me so I did not say hello to her. I was not familiar with the students in the marketing class, I felt bored and lonely. In order to broaden my horizon, I need to stand lonely and frustration. It is another kind of barrier which I have to conquer, and I will accept it without complaining.
